I have a real soft spot for this lovely local pub. You are greeted like a regular whenever you go in, making you feel like you are living in a village as opposed to practically central London! The Pilgrim doesn't try to compete with the pub/bar market or the 'gastropub' concept, it just wants to be a fun place to hang out. Best points: Amazing landlord and bar staff who are friendly & engaging, authentic pub Alsation, sunny beer garden, big screen for sports, pool table in designated area (so no jogged elbows) games machine, themed evenings and simple pub grub. I suggest you leave your Pimms in the White Horse for one evening and give this place a try. Henzines - 18 May 2008 17:58
Good Pub with a good Landlord. My friends and I would visit here almost every Friday. Food is usually good, though the Lasagne could do with some flavour. Though I will give them there dues as they gave me my money back. Kerrminator - 9 May 2008 11:03
I practically live here. Love it. Frequented by Nigel Cadbury Buckworth and Finley Crawford Bickington so bring your autograph books. kellybri - 8 May 2008 17:05
this place rocks. we arrived for a pint early in the day and ended up staying for 7 hours. tunes were awesome, food was hot and delicious, staff (bar man rob) was so full of chat and energy and pretty much made sure we will be regulars from now on. and the beer garden out the back is a total sun trap so all in all this is the best pub in london if not england. robheno - 8 May 2008 16:42
