Large multi-area Spirit Group pub in a residential area of Boxmoor. Tidy, clean and well presented, seemed popular with most customers looking like locals. Good menu with a number of 2 for £7 offers. Juke box, fruit machines and a dartboard. No children’s certificate so they are confined to the small garden area. Four hand pumps with standard beers and Tetley’s cask good value at £1.98. Cask Marque accredited.

One of the few pubs in Hemel that are not terrible. Nice old building just across from the moor.

Well visited this pub a few times recently and hasn't been too bad but recently it has been run at night time by a very different young staff who seem a bit confused. I was in last Thursday and asked about my favourite, Lizzie and was told she wasn't well, get well soon Lizzie. She is the best staff in a pub I have seen for a long time.I was also told that the manager was on holiday for a few weeks and have to say, it shows, the place is very dirty. The cigs butts in the car park and outside the front could be their way of hiding the fact that no glasses had been collected. An over turned table in the middle of the outside seating was a lovely feature. Maybe it should be in the Tate called "ashtray fallen off table", must be a big one. Funfare was good, old fashioned but great crowds.

I have just moved into Boxmoor Hemel and have to say, not a bad place to be, lots to see for the boys and girls, you lucky people. I have been to a few bars in the area and so far I think this place is the more pleasing. I had a bit of food which was very reasonably priced and very tasty, being a curious kind of guy, asked a few questions and was told the chef was Thai and it seems has a great reputation for his cooking.Had a good night last night too after my meal, had a game of pool with a local guy while watching the darts match. Will be going to see the guys on Thursday as they have a female artist singing at the pub.. looking forward to it... watch this space.....
