arfajob, you have indeed only done half a job ! Your praise is apposite, but the opening hours are normal pub times, with the slight exception that it has been known to close a little early if empty (esp on a Monday night), Beer always good and the food is a bit pricey but quality. mctsuffolk - 17 Apr 2012 15:32
Adnams Broadside was excellent, 10/10! Interesting village pub, with rustic furniture, one bar and three rooms. More of a restaurant than a pub, with very limited opening hours, i.e. during the week 12-2pm and 6-8pm open to 10pm at the weekend. I think that's what the landlady said, but it might have been the effect of the Broadside? Best to phone and check if you are planning a visit. Didn't get to taste the food, as we happened to go in on Valentines night and they were only doing a set meal at £25 a head. Not your basic pub grub here though. They have their own smallholding which provides the meat for the tables and the veg when in season. They also state on the menu that they forage for a lot of their ingredients. Worth visiting for the excellent beer even if not eating from the admittedly pricey menu. Very warm welcome too. arfajob - 18 Feb 2012 12:07
Great place to sit and watch your next meal in the farm yard walking about, for this reason they can put £5 on a meal which they do an average price is around the £15 mark. Is bit of an accident black spot with cars hitting the wall outside other than that it`s an OK pub. andyw1260 - 27 Nov 2011 14:50
Lovely rustic pub with a warm atmosphere and great beer. Very friendly and helpful staff as well. Didn't get to try the food, but the menu looked great. Very nice pint of Adnams Old Ale. Would return if in the area again. thomashenry - 18 Nov 2011 11:33
popped in with my 4year old. Lovely old Adnams pub with a lovely snug almost in the shape of a barrel. The staff could not have been more helpful offering to take my drinks to the table for me, the food was pretty nice. But best of all there was a really nice atmosphere in there, a few locals chinwagging at the bar and it felt like a nice locals pub with lots of us tourists to boot. Outside is a smallholding with a good selection of animals (didnt like to tell son may potentially end up in the sandwiches) mrsdonkers - 20 Jun 2009 19:11
