Oh dear, the perils of a one-visit review. Returning to Leeds I thought I would give the George another go. No real ale despite a row of hand pumps. That is inexcusable for an ale drinker. I withdraw my previous review and will not be returning here.

Opened out Victorian pub with choice of ales including Thornbridge Lord Marples on my visit. In no way resembles the pub as reviewed in previous posts. Young and enthusiastic staff and landlord. Just down the street from the Victoria. Worth a visit.

Please disregard older reviews as this pub is under new management!

Great atmosphere, great music great food and Carl and the new team have only been there 2 weeks!

Those that have been put off please do give them another chance... This has the makings of a top top old school boozer with new ideas

This could be a good pub as it has a reasonable location and old architectural features.Old time street corner boozer.
But,Chinese staff dont have a clue.Poorly kept Tetley's bitter,no choice.

Oh dear. Seems to be the drinking hole of the 'just been bailed' or 'going for sentancing' brigade, as both courts in spitting distance. Go to the Victoria or town hall tavern instead.
