The 13 hadpullls on the bar are very imressive as you enter through the front door. 2 real ciders are always available together with an ever changing range of real ales. Wye Valley Butty Bach always available. Great food available in afternoons and evenings. En-suite rooms and camping facilities available. This pub has won many CAMRA awards. A must visit if you appreciate real ales.

We visited this homely pub on a Saturday night. It is clearly frequented by locals as well as tourists, which is always a good sign. The landlord was chatty and friendly, the two ladies serving were very busy but had time for a smiling enquiry about our food. The prices were reasonable and the food piping hot and tasty- though not haute cuisine! Good pub grub though.

The best of 21 Welsh pubs we tried this past weekend. There were 5 cask real ales - Brains Dark, Brains SA, Youngs Special, RCH Pitchfork and Wye Valley Butty Bach. There was also a real cider - Weston's Old Rosie. The welcome was friendly and the meals smelled great. The owners appeared to be from South Africa.

Very warm welcome to an English traveller in search of good food and beer. The curry I chose from their sizable menu went down well with one of a selection of ales from across the UK.
