| Good food but a bit pricey no doubt reflecting the expense account clientele from the nearby business park. Our waiter was extremely aggressive, when asked what the choice was on the two courses for £10 he boomed 'Nothing sir, its not available today!' So why was it on the menu? He later reached to clear a colleagues plate well before he had finished his meal as if to get us out. I later discovered he was the landlord! | Good food, well presented and delivered by an extremely well trained competent team. I am a fan of Badger Beer and bit of a real Ale snob so the very well kept cask Ale is a joy. | I agree with Sharif. We had a large family meal here on a Saturday evening a few weeks ago - 7 adults and 6 children. Excellent menu, great food, good choice of drinks, and really helpful friendly staff. There were 2 other family groups in at the same time and the staff were coping with us all really well, as well as all the other diners. So glad we didn't go to a "family" place where the food is often lousy and the staff often no good, as my family all had a great evening. | Im am a little godsmacked with reference to the previous comments !!, we always use this pub as our "half way lunch spot" on our return home, and in all total honesty, we cannot find any fault with the food or the prices, although they do not do a childrens menu, everything is available half price, and it makes such a change to see decent food rather than sausage and chips If you want cheap tack, go to the harvesters !!.Our sunday lunch was fabulous yesterday, very busy ,happy smiley staff, well done, and we will see you next bank holiday. sharif - 2 May 2011 20:46 |
