St Austell Beers only but the best Proper Job in town. Nice location but no outside seating and limited seating inside with a pool table taking up a fair chunk of space. Didn't eat but food looked decent. bromsgrovebeerboy - 26 Oct 2011 19:02
A nice pub with good ale and comfy seats- food not bad too. Fills up quickly and often frequented by the younger locals for the pool and music so not always good for a quiet drink. Good off season. gongapop - 9 Aug 2010 17:58
Popped in here on a cold Saturday lunchtime last month, for a pint after eating a pasty on the harbourside. Decent enough spot for a quick drink, and a nice pint of St Austell Tinners it was too sussexboy - 19 Apr 2010 23:06
Visited this pub many times over the years. It was awful, stinking before the smoking ban. Since then however it has been pleasant and welcoming. I like the big round table in the window where you can watch the activity of tourists and seagulls. However, took a friend there last week ...there were only two people at the bar who looked fierce, like they had been there for some time. No greeting, no eye contact no welcome from the young girl serving, she was involved with the druken duo. We ordered 3 pints of Tinners ..they were dreadful, undrinkable...but with the guys at the bar we felt it better just to leave rather than ask for replacements - we were pleased to leave on the last ferry this year back to Meva southfields - 11 Oct 2009 12:05
Large open plan pub with views of the estuary. Suprisingly quiet when we visited late on Friday evening. Not much in the way of atmosphere, but a decent enough pub. Four hand pumps at the bar, but they were all duplicated so there were actually only two beers on, both from St. Austell's. Also Blackthorn and Cornish Rattler cider. Blackthorn - 18 Aug 2009 22:40
