| We loved this place. We visited as a couple with our baby daughter in the afternoon and had a great lunch in the nicely-done restaurant at the back, washed down with some good local ales. They had a delicious Italian meatball-style pasta and decent puds for afters. The people running it seemed like good folk as well. | I have to agree with the other posters - what a cracking place. I once popped into this pub a few years back and it could only be described as more spit than sawdust. Gasping for a beer after a long walk it was the first place I happened upon and I was only planning on a quick one. I couldn't believe the transformation - its gone from a sow's ear to a silk purse. After a few very good Otters and a great pint of Guinness we were lucky enough to get a table. The food is top notch and locally sourced - the staff were more than happy to let me know as was the Chef who I cornered after a great meal. | Nice atmosphere and really personal and homely-feeling interior. The food is something to remember -creative and extremely welltasting.
