| At a time when village pubs are struggling, deteriorating and closing down, Green King are to be applauded for injecting new life into this pub, which used to be a favourite some years ago. Many old friends have returned as regulars, and are creating the friendly atmosphere that regulars love. The choice of Landlord and Landlady is a masterstroke, and has made The Three Cranes by far the most welcoming pub in the area. Well done Green King. This has really cheered me up! | The pub is situated in a lovely area, and in just a few weeks, the new landlord and landlady- John and Linda have started to make noticeable chances to the pub to get it up and running again! The couple are well known in the area, as they used to run The Red Lion in Stevington, where we first met them, and they assure a friendly warm welcome all year round when we go to visit! The light lunches we had tasted great and it was nice to have a choice of real ales in this pub again, we will certainly back. A great local for a real ale or classic pub grub. boozeyB - 26 Aug 2011 22:49 |
| This pub has only reopened in June 2011 after a terrible period. The new landlords have signed a 15 year tenancy and agreed a programme of improvement with the brewers. My wife and I went there on July 20 2011 for lunch and were made very welcome. Already the place looks bright and open for business and the food and beer were excellent and modestly priced. Yes, there's a lot to tidy up but this is a pub well worth supporting and helping to get started again. Please do so if ou are in the area. Already many of their past customers from when they ran a pub close by are coming to the Three Cranes. That has to be quite a compliment. I've rated it 7 - because there is still a lot to do as you can imagine but it should be rated 9 or 10 for effort. Realalediner - 30 Jul 2011 18:52 |
| This pub has gone to the dogs completely. Now run by a succession of holding managers. It is filthy inside & out, Greene King have obviously given up on the premises. epicurious - 24 Feb 2010 11:05 |
| Newly decorated, including restaurant. New managers who are great hosts. Well kept & stocked bar & the food is really great all home cooked with plenty of seasonal dishes. A smashing local pub always busy. Well done keep it up!! epicurious - 20 Feb 2008 17:04 |
