I have to agree with the last comment, a proper pub, no pretensions to be anything else, and that's good enough for me. Very friendly locals as well.

This is a REAL pub, no fancy music, gimmicks etc. If you like the traditional pub atmosphere, settings, welcome, real ales and a friendly "Guvnor" then you MUST visit. Back to the days when pubs were pubs. Food is amazing, as is everything else.
DO IT!

Friendly welcome for 2 thirsty strangers from staff and regulars, wish we had a pub like this at home. At another pub in Midhurst had no-one behind the bar and while we idly waited a dog threw up on th floor, so we left and found this gem instead.

Nice little pub, though yo uhave to park in the main town car park a few streets away. Very friendly, very busy, andyet the landlord always seemsto have time to talk to locals and strangers alike. Knows his beer, and serves a most quaffable pint! Used to be much lamented King and Barnes of Horsham, but isevery bit as good now! Traditional pub food and sandwiches also worth investigating, though not particularly cheap! In an old and interesting town of many pubs, this one will not disappoint!
