| Visited this pub based on the 9/10 rating it has received on this site. It really is a nice pub, very spacious, clean interior, but fairly old fashioned furnishings and decor. VERY friendly staff and we were made to feel extremely welcome - they even called a cab for us to get back into town when it started to chuck it down with rain. The local Harvey's bitter was well kept and the best we had in our stay in Eastbourne. No food available weekday evenings so can't comment on that, but menu looked reasonably varied.
