user reviews of Anchor, Great Barford

please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.

Nice location by a river, very posh, more for an older crowd, drinks fairly expensive, very quiet pub, but probably lively in the evenings.

Beautiful view from the pub(especially in the summer) of river and bridge. Quiet inside - no mobile 'phones rule to stop annoyances! Nice home-made food. Friendly Landlord and Staff. Guest ales change regularly, lagers less frequently. No beer garden as such - unless you cross country road to sit by the river.

Very posh pub, serves food, nice location, curry night soon but its very expensive, also has a small car park.
