Visited September 2011 Saturday Lunchtime It is what it is, a pier bar catering for the many numbers, and different clientele, that drop in. We were lucky, a lovely hot day so we say outside and watched the fun go by courtesy of people watching. You don't have to write comedy, it's there in front of you at a place like Horatios. 6/10 Bitterville - 30 Sep 2011 01:00
First pub I ever went in where all the customers appeared to be related and/or married to their sisters. I was there Sunday and despite the above, it was great fun. The weather was pretty filthy so the pier was a great place to be especially inside. Me and my mate Levi got hammered on 1664 and watched the world pass us by before getting a good feed of chips on the way out. First rate - I commend it to you all. Willy_Wonty - 11 Nov 2010 10:23
Considering it's location, not at all that bad. Prompt service and tables regularly cleared. Plenty of seating inside and out. Allows groups of more than 5 to sit together which is more than could be said for lots of others places nearby. As a real ale drinker it was disappointing but I visited on one of the hottest days of the year and a cold lager was just what I needed. davewat - 14 Jul 2009 22:40

Good place to watch Hen Parties getting lagered up before they hit the town. I really wanted to hate this place, but hey, its a bar on a pier and a good place to sit in the sun not doing very much. ceedoubleu - 19 Sep 2007 12:18
