| Called in after a disappointing visit to a recommended place in Chacombe.....whilst the Pub is tired and the windows are falling out of their rotting sills, the Ale was spot-on. | Visited this canalside pub last weekend whilst on a narrowboat trip. Had a couple of very nice pints of Old Hooky. Very convenient for boaters and lots of facilities but the pub could do with a bit of maintenance and seemed a little tired. Keithh - 19 Apr 2010 21:44 |
| This pub is great! They have a small shop, they sell flo-gas, they have just opened a launderette, they have a camping & caravan site, they serve food all day- from �6.50 for 2 !!! and the beer is pretty good. I think I am going to move in here! Nice selection of Spitfire, Adnams, Tribute & Hooky. They are members of Camra LocAle- Keith the landlord very welcoming. Log fire, dogs welcome, walkers welcome.
