I'm a regular and don't recognise many of the negative comments here. On the whole the food is excellent, especially the Sunday roasts. The last thing I ate there was a freshly cooked beef and ale pie and it was fantastic.

They have a good choice of real ales and the staff are generally warm and polite.

The only area they really need to address is how cold it can get in the winter!

Otherwise a really nice pub.

Popped in on Sunday night, live Jazz - which was ok but we sat outside. The outside area is lovely. The undercover seating areas with the sofas and large heaters were quite impressive.

I was drinking the Guinness which was fairly awfully poured and the pub did lack atmosphere, not sure that I'd go out of my way to return.

yes another micthells and butler deep freeze to micro portion controlled load of WANK !

shame as a nice space - did they get the designers to mimmick all the other pub styles in the area - certainly looks that way !

serve real home made food and it MIGHT work once people have got their confidence back in the food.

the ever present sign for a 'chef required' says it all really

What is happening? Are pubco's really that bad that they run out of beer? The fifth time in various suposedly decent pubs in the last year and a bit. OK so they make their money on food, but is that any excuse, particularly a place such as this that promotes real ale, to have none?

Went as part of the Dulwich festival. Not been there for years, certainly not when the Goose and Granite. So a gastro makeover, not a surprise, and not totally ruined. But poor service and, did I say already, no ale. Cask marque - my bottom.

Onto the former pub, now restaurant, known as the Herne. You will see a theme!

Very Very Very BAD!!!!

Went to The Plough today for a nice sunday lunch and a few drinks. As soon as we got there the place looked nice and had comfy seating area for food.

Went to the Bar to order drinks and food, service was very slow and non polite. Was told there was a 30 minute wait for food, in the end it ended up being an Hour, then the road was burnt, veg under cooked (SOLID), and the gravy was cold. then after we had ate the main we decided to have a desert, so we went to the bar and was told we were unable to order desert for another 30 mins as they have temp closed the kitchen of orders, so after 30 mins we asked again, then 45 mins then was told they wasnt going todo desert for the rest of the day,

I found this place to be a complete disaster and wouldnt go back again, Dulwich is a nice place and im sure there are so many places that are better than this.

DO NOT GO!!!!
