Odd little 'spoons with curious lighting, some odd customers and a distinctly edgy atmosphere. Ten handpumps, with some doubled-up so not that great a choice of real ale. My pint of Bateman's Hooker was OK, and reasonably priced at £1.95, but this certainly wasn't a place where I would consider staying for a second. rpadam - 27 Mar 2010 10:47
If you like blue light and, yes, strange old men that look like characters from a William Burroughs novel you will love this pub william1 - 21 Sep 2007 00:46
This pub is like any other Wetherspoons pub in that it has a distinct lack of soul. There are many strange old men that seem to be permanent fixtures there and it also has some very odd UV lighting above the bar... Only go in if a)you're on the way somewhere better and fancy a cheap drink or b)you're feeling lazy and can't be bothered to go somewhere decent. I suggest walking (or for the lazy folk getting the bus) to Camberwell and getting a drink there. anonymous - 8 Dec 2004 01:18
