Booked Sunday Lunch at the pub for a family get together, and wouldn't recommend it to anyone. The pub was cold we a fire only just lit despite being late November cold and very wet. The food was terrible at best tasteless, at worst inedible. We ordered 3 of the roast dinners beef, chicken and pork chop and the beef and ale pie. The chicken was not roast chicken but a pre-made chicken breast filled with cheese and wrapped in bacon - not stated on the menu , the pork was overdone and chewy, the pies pastry cases with no meat and the beef was truly awful - pre-sliced, pre-cooked boil in the bag type. None of the food was fresh or homemade. I couldn't in any way say it was value for money. Will most definately not be returning.

have heard pub gone downhill and trade near enough nonexistant since june of this year. food offer changed obviously to brake brothers or similar operation ping ding meals but reasonably priced by local standards. havent had a drink/eaten in this pub since new 'manageress' taken on as felt unwelcome and not what i look for these days in a pub. some of staff nice enough - but a bit distracted at times and often moaning about there lives/jobs - who needs that sort of entertainment!

Nice pub, nice location, but spoilt by the most foul mouthed locals,I'm broad minded but they really took it to the limit, esp considering there were children in the pub

If you are looking for a Country Pub with Open Fires, Wood Burners and a welcome look no further. The food is good value for money and above average.
