Went for a family meal on Friday, 30th July to celebrate end of holiday with no cooking!! All tables booked in advance for inside so ate in the beer garden. Two of our party were so looking forward to having lovely, plump mussels - what a disappointment! Not only were they overcooked and served on a cold dish but the size of the portion was extremely small - ideal for a starter but not a main course and certainly not for the price of £13.00 per portion. Reluctantly we were given £13.00 off our bill - no apologies were given!! What a pity - a lovely pub in a super location - a shame about the mussels and the miserable people who run it.

Called in on Sunday night looking for food. The greeting we got was like the scene from "an american werewolf in london". To say we wernt welcomed would be the understatment of all time. Menues virtually thrown at us . Landlord completely dissinterested and locals looking at us as if we were aliens. Made an excuse and left. It felt like escaping. Its a long time since we had such a bad time anywhere. Avoid this place like the plague.

Popped in for a pint back in July. Very pleasant place, a nice pint of Tribute. Would eat there in future, all tables being fully-booked must be a good sign. Quiet and relaxing garden for the warmer months. Will definitely be back

What a great place, and everything a pub in a Cornish fishing village should be. There is excellent beer, nice food (including plenty of fresh fish), an interesting interior with old fishing pictures etc, and pleasant, kind bar staff. They even let me put my tent up in the beer garden overnight!

Had fantastic mussels and fish and chips in here and very reasonably priced too. Three very decent real ales on tap as well. Highly recommended.
