What a great place, and everything a pub in a Cornish fishing village should be. There is excellent beer, nice food (including plenty of fresh fish), an interesting interior with old fishing pictures etc, and pleasant, kind bar staff. They even let me put my tent up in the beer garden overnight! PeterHenderson - 24 May 2008 16:58
Had fantastic mussels and fish and chips in here and very reasonably priced too. Three very decent real ales on tap as well. Highly recommended. mr_goatboy - 20 Sep 2007 20:57
What a lovely pub! Some decent beers here in a lovely location. One small criticism-please don't serve your real ales through a sparkler,it's not neccesary and real ale drinkers don't give a damn about head retention as long as the beer's fresh.Dogs welcome. Miles007 - 28 Aug 2007 12:55
This is a great pub! I was staying down the road in the Lugger hotel for a few days and visited this pub for dinner one night. Unfortunately the night I went they had a problem with their cooker so I didn’t end up eating here, which was a real shame because the menu selection looked like really good traditional pub grub. The décor inside was of a nautical theme and had a nice cosy feel to the place. A good selection of beers was on offer and a good choice of bar snacks. Overall this pub is worth a visit. beerconnoisseur - 18 Jun 2006 08:23
