I have not been myself, but I am reliably informed that this is now a house. I hope the new owners fails to meet their mortgage and get thrown into the street, bag and baggage, after their Range Rover and Porsche have been towed away. bradwan - 24 Jun 2009 00:37
Went in today to be told it would be shut down next week, and the brewery are not saying what will happen to it. That means it will be a house. It will be a shameful loss if this place goes forever. bradwan - 22 Aug 2008 21:54
I like this pub!! Bit rough around the ages but the staff are friendly and the beer is resonably priced. We live in the new development opposite so really enjoy the fcat that we have a local!! anonymous - 29 Nov 2007 11:58
I checked this pub out a month or so ago, to see if standards have improved; I am afraid not - still very scruffy, the palce has not been refurbished since the last good tenants [King & Barnes days] sadly retired. Beer OK, but now there is no Sky Sports, although there is still a decaying sign outside saying that there is; the remnant of the once pleasant beer garden, is neglected and a group arrived when we were there, with two dogs, which were promplty released off the lead to pester the other clients ie us. From what was once the finest pub in this area, this is a place to avoid if at all possible Quaffer - 8 Oct 2007 13:40
