| When you visit a pub for the first time you wouldn't really expect all the locals to jump up with open arms welcoming you like a long lost relative would you. So don't expect it at the Ranger. However, if you make the first move, you will find most of the locals very friendly and more than willing to have a chat, play pool or give advice about the pub and the area. The Ranger is the best pub in the village due to the current tennants, Terry and Elaine who have worked tirelessly to make it a great success. The girls behind the bar are all gorgeous, the beer and food are great and there is a nice mix of regulars..from young, unemployed to successful millionaires and that sort of mix makes it an interesting place to be. manboobs - 2 Oct 2008 15:57 |
| Yes the pub has changed - there is two distinct groups of people who go in the pub. The old men and women who think they are something and the 'youth' element who cannot handle thier drink. | The pub has been refurbished (very tastefully!) and opened up - with a terrace on the front. It has new management and some new staff. This is the best pub in Ravenshead now - there is no clique and the customers talk to newcomers! anonymous - 11 Mar 2007 18:54 |
