| Beer is ridiculously cold, measues are poor & staff are surly. Range of beers in this once fine pub is now nothing special. The Sweet Green is now the best Real Ale pub in Bolton. phigson - 17 Aug 2007 18:03 |

| This is not really a pub at all at lunchtimes turning instead to a restaurant with a bar. Drinkers are made to feel most unwelcome at most of the tables because they are occupying space intended for diners. The beers are served far too cold & the range of real ales is not as good as in the past - the Cains mild appears to be no longer available.
