user reviews of Hog's Head, Bishopsgate

please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.

Large soulless place that remarkably attracts hoards of office workers both lunchtimes and evenings. Whenever I get dragged in Ive always found it a bit uncomfortable and very expensive.

Now a Slug & lettuce. Usual poncy affair but they did serve me a reasonable pint of real ale when I was there. Didn't feel much different from when it was Hog's Head.

Bad news. Will no longer be a pub - being turned into a Slug & Lettuce poncy wine bar thingy.

Let's hope they fix the TVs, the gherkin has shagged it's reception & you can't watch anyhting in there.

A 2 for selling out!

Typical city pub underneath office. Everything shiny and new but totally characterless. Beer OK but nothing special. Full of city workers as you would expect. So ordinary that you can't really write much about it.

I tend to go there to meet friends who work nearby. Not bad for a chain & the Guiness Extra Cold isn't bad. Has waitress service so you don't have to venture anywhere near the bar!!
