Standard GK pub next to the station with Ruddles as a 'guest'. Somewhere to sit while waiting on a train.

Wonderful carvery and desserts to match. Definately on my "Must call again" list.

I am a massive patron of supporting your local pub; however, after my last visit to my local, which has newly changed hands, I have been left angered and upset. The food was APPAULING - I think John McCririck could have done a better job with ingredients from Farmfoods! As for the service, it was summarised when we asked to speak to the chef regarding her cooking skills. To cut a long story short she walked off when we suggested looking at getting her ingredients from local butchers. There was no offer of a reduction on the bill whatsoever. We promptly finished our wine paid, our bill and left. I am personally never going to go here again as I feel that there are other struggling pubs that are more worthy of my support.

Excellent village pub just taken over by a local couple. Real Ales, Pool Table, Beer Garden & Childrenss Play Area. Home cooked food in the dining room is very popular and the Sunday Carvery is always busy. If your planning to go to The Elmswell Fox to eat, I would definatly recommend booking in advance.
