this message is to GRMull,
if you think the beer is almost out of date you obviously havent a clue what your on about, the reason the beer is so cheap is because they are part of a chain of over 800 pubs and the bulk buying power they have is that high that they get the beer in that much cheaper!!! Doesnt take a genius to figure out mate!!

As to the comment above....the kids area is at the rear of the pub (half the pub) it is near the garden yes but it is not a small area at all. Also kids are welcome in the family area if they are eating.

Still pretty lousy unless you like the company of the winoes who queue up outside to get their fix from 9AM. Not the cleanest of places either and my last visit was fleeting as a result of both these factors.

Cheap beer (almost by sell by date of course) but for this reason alone 2/10 (just!)

The staff seem more friendly this year, the food is o.k and the beer still cheaper than competition. I have had one duff pint but changed with no problem. It is a typical Weatherspoons with a very mixed cliental, busy at all times of day. You have to accept the brand works.

I've had totally different experiences at this place

Twice had them forget our food order, and spent ages waiting to get served.

On other times staff have actually been friendly at the bar, so it seems it depends on your luck with this place. We've found the management to be rude as well.
