| This used to be an excellect pub with good food and well kept beers. Went late last year and found it closed up! Especially dissapointing since this location now has a usable if infrequent bus link (which we used) - you don't want to drive to a real ale pub! The pub a few yards down the road had average beer, mediocre overpriced food and was packed! Someone please get The Oddies up and running again. It would be a real shame if it ended up being sold as a private dwelling, which I suspect is Enterprise Inns master plan! oodkind - 2 Feb 2010 07:59 |

| This pub is in Mellor, not Stockport ! Beautiful old Inn with mullioned windows and stone flagged floors. Excellent food and a great range of guest ales. Also nice wine list. However Impending change on the horizon with a long list of independent caring landlords rumoured to be replaced by the monolithic Enterprise Inns. This could only be a retrograde step.
