NOT, 'JOLLY SAILOR' (that is a Pub of distinction somewhat further south - look it up)- "J O L L Y S A I L O R S".

If you want to know about the ingredients of your meal and ask the staff they repeatedly answer, '"I'll go to the kitchen and read the box".

Cheap microwaved food at expensive prices eaten in the ambiance of a drunk owner dressing down the staff in front of customers...

Most commonly used phraise, "Chips or salad"?

This is a costly Cafe'.

Open again now (April 2011). Good range of Adnams beer and good value food. More of a tourist Pub than the Trowel and Hammer.

Apparently this pub is currently boarded up because 'It's dangerous'.

Does anyone know any more on this...?

First visit and quite impressed. Lovely pub in excelent locations with stunning views of the sea. Looks quite nice inside and has a good selection of ales. Food was pretty good, we had the carvery. Staff seemed quite friendly and attentive. Chef was friendly when serving the meat.

Good observations & description by Charlton Fisher.

Personally, I was most disappointed by the food. The 3 course senior citizen special (ordered for my 85 year old mum) was the only decent thing we got.
