Good little pub this. They had abbot, GK IPA and speckled hen on. iPA was good and the welcome was warm. They have a big garden out the back that must be heaven in the summer months. nutsaboutbeer - 8 Dec 2011 09:41
Popped in last night for the first time in 40+ years (as well as the Cricketers next door) and what a surprise! The place has definately gone up market and is now a very comfortable and welcoming pub with a warm atmosphere. Excellent friendly service and well kept ales. The menu is normal pub fare but looks to be very good value for money - may well sample it next time we're in Enfield. BobOs - 13 Aug 2011 20:38
Correction Lovely location, nice garden, satisfactory staff and reasonably good food, but it still falls short of being a great pub. I think it's because it simply doesn't stand out among other pubs in the area, although it does overshadow (but slightly) its next-door neighbour, The Cricketers. I shall continue to go to The Crown and Horsehoes (not The Cricketers) but not as often as I would do if the food and service were a bit better than "acceptable". lexsim - 16 May 2011 00:13

Rude lady behind the bar. Wine not chilled enough, serivce slow, generally explains why its full of kids and the Cricketers next door is full of adults. Made a mistake visiting and wont bother again - go there if you like to drink and be surrounded by 17 year olds. Shame great builidng and layout but run very badly. EN2 - 11 Feb 2011 08:27
