We sat outside as we were halfway through a walk from Winchcombe so I can't tell you much about this place other than it seemed quite smart and popular. Greene King pub so there were 5 of their ales - I had a pint of London Glory at a whopping £4.24 a pint. It certainly wasn't bad but it wasn't worth that money.

A large group of us went here on a Sunday lunchtime after a walk at Belas Knap. The Flowers was a nice pint, the homemade steak pie was one of the best I've ever had - and everyone was polite and accomodating, considering that ten adults and ten children covered in mud and had just walked through the door....excellent pub!

I went to the apple tree with my boyfriend's family on the weekend having been recommended by a friend and was not only dissapointed but thouroughly appalled, it ruined my day! The waitress we had was the rudest person I have ever met after she proceeded to make scathing comments throughout the course of serving us, had it not been for the fact that I was with my boyfriends family and didn't want to create a scene I would have left there and then. I ordered a prawn baguette with a portion of chips, when it came it did not have any chips and instead of baguette it was some prawns on a piece of burnt toast, which the waitress didn't even apologise for and was ridiculously patronising about going on about how nice it was, I felt like saying well you eat it then if its so nice. It is such a shame as the pub is in a lovely location and is nice on the inside the staff and food totally ruin it. I will never be going again!
