Not a bad Spoons, reasonable choice of ales on my visit, food to usual Spoons standard. Probably the best of the 3 JDWs in Hull.

We met our friends in here before moving on to the pubs in the old town. Saturday night and heaving - loads of scantily clad young ladies (and boys!!) Beer range was poor with several pumps having nothing on (much like the women). Not a bad atmosphere though and not intimidating. If Wetherspoons actually go their act together and employed a few more staff they would go up in everybody's opinion overnight and we might all get served a bit quicker. We had a beer and moved on....

Extremely popular 'Spoons pub. Nice decor, quite spacious but always packed out on a Saturday night. Sometimes waiting too long to get served.

Slow, sarcastic staff, some good beer/ale and cider though.

Typical 'Spoons, as they say. Never quite enough staff if more than a handful in, but how else do they keep the prices down?. Had ham 'n' eggs the other week, v. nice as was the Guinness. Slight capacity for knobhead-element attraction, being at the northern end of 'Owld Town'. Spacious, light, bit of a hangar though,
