First time I have been to this pub yesterday and the Harvey's Old was beautiful, and the Tuna Steak very enjoyable. Nice atmosphere. robinsong - 2 Oct 2011 09:43
Nice little "real" pub with small patio area at rear, the beer (Hadlow) was great, only wish I had time to try the food which looked great. Well worth a visit. 5stardrunk - 26 Apr 2011 18:30
One of those pubs, increasingly frequently encountered, where you get a slightly restauranty welcome: 'Will you be eating?' But good fare and a generally pleasant atmosphere, though I do hate having to endure a radio droning away in a pub, especially when the GBG says it's a Quiet Pub. I love Harvey's beer, but on this occasion the Hadlow Bitter was in only average condition. It can be much better. All in all, though, a decent pub where the owners are trying to do things well. I'd be glad if it were my local. stevehar - 15 Mar 2011 23:29
still haven't had a bad pint here, whether its a light mild, or stronger seasonal ale. The food is also consistent. A great stop-off if your making your way along A272. Despite its distance from the brewery its one of Harveys best pubs (in my opinion) baggers29 - 12 Nov 2009 15:23
Dropped in for lunch after researching for a pub the A272 route in the CAMRA good beer guide. All the Harveys' beers were on and we had a good meal at the height of the lunch period. Lovely pub with good staff who know what they're doing. If I'm down that way again this is the watering hole for me. Colourshifter - 27 Oct 2008 00:22
