| Visited Weymouth a few years ago and really like this puvb. I have just returned and I was disappointed. I ended up going 3 times twice to eat in my week down there each time I was disappointed. Every pint of ale was cloudy and the food was not great. The staffed seemed ok. gingerob - 15 May 2009 18:47 |
| Called in with the family on a recent stay in Weymouth, actualy our second go at this pub and although the service was a bit slow and the barstaff a bit disinterested the food was quite good I thought. The ale wasn't bad but a tad on the pricey side and although they pretend that it isn't this is realy a restaurant in a pub setting. There are worse places in Weymouth though believe me. | Went in for a meal 15/11/07, waited 20 minutes for the starter to arrive, the soup was advertised as "soup served with a fresh baked baggette", it turned up with 2 slices of white bread,When I pointed out the difference the girl said it was a new menu said she would see about it and never seen her again, then another 25 for the main to arrive. It was not anything unusual one was a salad and one gammon. That was after I asked how much longer it would be. I said to the person serving the food that the wait was unacceptable he said that he would get the duty manager, we ate our meal waited another 10 minutes no duty manager so we give up and left. You could not put it down to being busy there was only three other couples eating. truckerphil - 17 Nov 2007 14:32 |
