| Meals are better under the new management but service is dire as is the beer, one girl dealing with 3 groups of people having xmas parties. Took 3 hours insted of 2 to finish meal. Beer very limited as well. rustheap - 7 Dec 2011 17:20 |
| Small portions with slow service, limited choice of beer. Could do a lot better. andyw1260 - 27 Nov 2011 14:16 |
| I had a meal with family and friends on lunchtime September 25th. The experience was just the same as Chirple's. very good, friendly and efficient service, good food and a good pint of Adnams beer. A very enjoyable lunch. cornishtractorboy - 27 Sep 2010 19:33 |
| We went in here after a walk on Monday 20th at about 2.40pm.The bar area was not busy.We enquired about food and the Barman was very friendly, helpful and attentive advising us on ordering our food where we could sit and if we wanted a tab set up.We ordered two pints of the Adnams Bitter which was very good.Adnams Broadside was also available as well.I ordered the Vegetarian Butternut squash and bean pie with the sweet potato chips and salad. My other half had the Moroccan style lamb burger with sweet potato chips and salad. The food was served within 15 minutes, nicely presented and a reasonable portion. My vegetarian dish was tasty and not a poor substitute for a meat dish.I am not vegetarian. My other half's meal was good too.The friendly barman brought me another pint of Adnams as we were sitting outside. The Gents toilet was clean with soap and water and a working hand dryer. For a Pub Chain this was very good particularly the Barman's attitude as he finished his shift whilst we were there but was still helpful up to his finishing time. His female colleague was also very pleasant when i settled the bill at the end. | Extremely smiley and polite. Portions small as the last reviewer said. Was full of old people at 6.45 on sat night, had to wait for a table. When we left at 8pm the place was half empty. jazzmin - 15 May 2010 22:06 |
