| Ex-Strongs/Whitbread, now GK pub sitting beside very busy A36. Has lots of olde worlde charm with low beams. Flag floor in old public bar for pool table. Darts in another area. Fire+sofa area. Plenty eating tables at rear leads to nice beer garden. 3 hand pulls: GK IPA, Ruddles County. Good pub menu: Bangers+mash, Lasagne, all day breakfast all at £5-95. | Looks plain on the outside, but is cosy with low beams and log fire (in winter). Owned by Green King, but serves Ringwood beers as well. Separate dining area, leaves the bar areas remaining traditional. Staff were very young, but friendly and helpful. Menu is good "pub grub", very modestly priced, and with deals as well! Recommended.
