Nice separated bit of seating around the other side from the bar which I've come to like as its one of the few pubs in Brighton where a quiet pint is possible on a Friday/Saturday night without getting blasted by music. Comfy and good beers, although the locals are a bit too loud and locally in the main bit of the pub for me, wouldn't feel relaxed sitting round there steve_on_tour - 4 Sep 2008 13:04
The archetypal corner boozer, a bit of E17-type character in Brighton. Essential stop, though the Mild was as weak as its ABV would suggest. mtaylor40 - 29 Aug 2008 23:43
A great place to spend a Saturday afternoon and early evening; and with a curry house nearly next door. Harveys was fantastic, welcome was warm, company fine. Sadly 20 miles from home :( swidge - 22 Aug 2008 16:39
The first time I went in here back in about 1977, I was asked to leave because I made the mynah bird talk. I was a bit diappointed to leave, but have been back many times since and it hasn't changed at all. It is a very pleasant back street boozer, full of character and characters. A great pint of Harvey's and one for the list. Just round the corner from the Rose Hill,so you can fit two great pubs in one afternoon. The mynah bird has since flown to that great brewery in the sky. flagship - 18 Apr 2008 14:19
Why not! Pop in for a.... Harvey's - just don't have the best, there's so much more to try (eg Old ale). Like I say, plenty of Harvey's to choose from. Overall, Not the most welcoming of place's for the under 50. Ho hum, still worth a visit. The_Ace - 5 Nov 2007 23:59
