I like this pub. It's not the cheapest but the beers are well kept and the food is excellent. Slightly out of town but worth the walk. porkyc - 5 Feb 2013 10:33
Had a very warm welcome at the olde kings head. Food very simple but tasty and extremely generous portions. Only had a Guinness, which was excellent. Would return if in the area. TommyRogers1979 - 9 Jan 2013 19:40
Haven't been to 'ye olde kings head' for quite a while and been meaning to visit ever since I saw the 'Tapas' board outside. So when I suggested to the wife we call in again I thought it the responsible thing to do to check the reviews on 'beer in the evening'. I was surprised to see 'epsomaledrinker' having such a crusade against the pub (specially seeing it was more to do with a fellow drinker) and complaining about the pub, the people and also the food. Two and a half hours later I'm sitting in front of my computer having had the finest of meals with very good wine and very friendly people. All I can say to 'epsomaledrinker' is GET A GRIP and GROW UP!! Highly recommended hugger12 - 13 Nov 2012 21:37
Nice friendly local, if a bit pricey. A few regulars visit with their dogs. They should be a bit wary of a tall man drinking San Miguel with a reputation with canidae animals especially vulpines from the Low Countries! Toller_Rant - 11 Feb 2012 17:15
Great pub, we enjoy a share platter (spanish tapas) lovely food, nice drinks! Very much recommended! Parking is an issue though! Anna02 - 11 Nov 2011 20:37
