Must have caught this on a bad day. Very sour pint of Doombar. Shame, it could be a nice local.

I like this pub. It's not the cheapest but the beers are well kept and the food is excellent. Slightly out of town but worth the walk.

Had a very warm welcome at the olde kings head. Food very simple but tasty and extremely generous portions. Only had a Guinness, which was excellent. Would return if in the area.

Haven't been to 'ye olde kings head' for quite a while and been meaning to visit ever since I saw the 'Tapas' board outside. So when I suggested to the wife we call in again I thought it the responsible thing to do to check the reviews on 'beer in the evening'. I was surprised to see 'epsomaledrinker' having such a crusade against the pub (specially seeing it was more to do with a fellow drinker) and complaining about the pub, the people and also the food. Two and a half hours later I'm sitting in front of my computer having had the finest of meals with very good wine and very friendly people. All I can say to 'epsomaledrinker' is GET A GRIP and GROW UP!! Highly recommended

Nice friendly local, if a bit pricey. A few regulars visit with their dogs. They should be a bit wary of a tall man drinking San Miguel with a reputation with canidae animals especially vulpines from the Low Countries!
