| This pub is local to me, so I visit it quite often. The food is excellent, as the previous reviewer said. It has a nice 'village pub' feel, and very friendly staff. Sadly, the quality of the ale (Greene King IPA, Abbot and one other) varies been drinkable and awful - in spite of the 'Cask Marque' tag. I'm guessing that this is because none of the staff drink the stuff themselves. I'd love to write another review saying that this has much improved, and will do so if it does. In summary, a great village pub if you want excellent food and a warm welcome - and you don't drink real ale. ribby - 15 Nov 2008 19:34 |
