| We called in on our walk back to town from the Masons Arms on Saturday afternoon and ended up staying for a couple of hours. The pub itself is recently re-furbished and very nice, the bar part of the pub is still traditional whilst the other room is very modern with comfy sofas. The locals were very friendly and entertaining particularly the on-going argument over which parts of the pub are Lancashire and which are Yorkshire. The landlord was also a very nice chap who keeps 3 ales extremely well, JW Lees, Leeds pale and Hydes. The Woodpecker is definately on our list of locals especially as it's only 3 quid return on the bus from Burnley. Michael72 - 8 Apr 2012 12:17 |
