Quite simply , an unpretentious village local that has kept a high standard of rustic charm year after year. The varied menu is home cooked by talented chefs and in 10 years of visits the beer has always been good , albeit tied for choice by the restrictive policies of the brewers. A great destination on a dry day with loads of outdoor space and a warm welcome .

Popped in for a pint and some lunch with the good lady wife on a Monday lunuch time.

Pub was reasonbly quite as you would expect for a village setting. Weather was beautiful so enjoyed sitting outside in the great location in the middle of March!

Food and drink both very good. Have to give extra marks for the very friendly and helpful landlady who even went the extra mile to do table service so we didn't have to come inside from our sun worshipping.

Keep up the good work.

Took my dad here last sunday - just a pint and a sandwich. I like it here though. The atmosphere is good as is the food, the beer's well kept, nice landlord, and the public bar is lively. Only criticism is that in the rear dining room the tables and chairs are really packed in and it can feel a bit cramped. Sometimes bring my 11 year old son here too and share a moules/ frites which is huge and great value. Nice in the summer because of the location. keep it up!

Very nice old country pub set on a village green. One 'proper' pub-type bar and a couple of quite large restauranty type rooms. Tables outside as well. Badger beers on (Tanglefoot, Pickled partridge & badger ordinary) and K&B Sussex ale. Only tried the partridge which was fine. Food all good with a real 'home made' feel about. I like this place a lot.

Another visit yesterday. Lovely outside drinking area watching the Sun set. Good bar staff, and real ale keenly priced. Must try the food next time. Keep it up.
