| Mixed views about this one. It really is a REGULARS pub. The landlord will always serve regulars first and once you do get some service it's usually with a scowl as opposed to a smile. Shame really becaue the other staff seem quite nice and friendly towards everyone and there are a number of decent ales available on a regular basis. Funny sort of place, worth a look just to experience the landlords own special "service". Dogs are welcome but i wouldn't take any kids there as the play area (apart from being covered in dog foul) isn't exactly top notch...see for yourself! One other thing the colourful gang of regualrs, whilst an unusual bunch are quite friendly and can be interesting company. | This used to be a great pub but since the refurb some years ago, the pub has gone down hill... problems with the pub... The beer would be ok if the pipes were cleaned properly and often enough. Toilets are quite simply awfull! Stinky and dirty landlord is uninterested in interacting with customers, and seems to be on the wrong side of the bar most of the time. No decent food and only on offer if the landlord can be bothered. carpets covered in dog hair Good points Sky tv - showing most main Sports events. | Good pint of Badger Beer in here although at £3.00 a pint there are cheaper places for a pint of good beer. None-the-less seems a good local boozer with plenty of different real ales available; sure I'll be back there at some point. pchaimba - 4 Jan 2009 22:52 |
