We popped into this pub on Carnival day & can hand on heart say it will be our first & last visit. The pub itself seemed to have a lot of character, we had our two young girls with us whilst 3 separate incidents happened with pushing shoving abusive language & shouting matches, there was other families with children which is what has made me so annoyed that this pub allows children to visit YET these customers were drunk beyond belief (so why had they been served drinks to get them to that state), why say children allowed yet put them at risk. To top it all off we asked for our drinks to be put in plastic glasses only to walk outside & be confronted with the owner of this pub rudely telling us that those glasses cost her money & she stood waiting as we had to rush the drink, I did mention we had left the pub as so many fights breaking out ...no apology just a rude manner & she should feel ashamed of herself for running a pub in that way. Complete waste of a gorgeous pub on such a lovely spot of Weymouth ....to be managed like that. But then some are just concerned about their Tills ringing as opposed to earning a good reputation.

Made a return visit last week whilst in weymouth on Holiday. HAsd a pint of Piddle 4.1% Bitter. Was OK but the taste was not what I liked so had one and went to The Ship next door. Pub was deserted even though it was Easter week and there were lots of Holidaymakers

Just returned from a week in Weymouth and found this pub on the first night. Great Pint of Badgers Best Bitter for £2.50, for a 4% brew thats not bad and it was well kept. Nice touches on the bar FREE sweets for the Kids and FREE treats for the Dogs (Just help yourself). The pub is really three areas Upstairs Steak loft (no staff on the night we went) looks like you have to order at the bar yourself and get your own drinks. one end downstairs id a public bar area with pool table Juke box and where the live bands play on Fridays (gets very busy and music is loud). The other end downstairs is set for eating but you can sit and only drink if you want. large TV's showing music videos when I have been in but without sound. Some seating outside overlookig Harbour, only spoilt by the constant passing cars. late licence until midnight.
