Lively pub with young owners who work hard to please. The menu has been revamped recently and offers good value and quality. The resturant area is not entirely seperated and can be noisy on " gig " nights but then what do you expect ? Mainly a younger persons pub but all ages mad welcome. Good selection of ales, beers and ciders - wine reasonable by the bottle. Spacious garden for summer events

Had a great evening at The Cherry Tree recently. The food was fantastic and well priced, service was excellent, the owners are young, hard working and very responsible. Overall the atmosphere was very laid back and would certainly go there again.

Brought here again by a client and it was even worse - totally agree with ccustard - and the omni-present kids were under everyone's feet - free jelly indeed !!!!. My client said that he wouldn't come again. This pub is horrendous.

I agree totally with BrianBlessed. I moved to the area a couple of years ago and was delighted to find this place just 5 minutes walk away. Open fires, real beams, good beer, real locals, bands at the weekend and a pool table in the public side. What could be better?

The landlord told me it would be closing for a couple of months to be refurbished but assured me it wouldn't be losing its character.

I returned soon after it reopened and lo and behold it was destroyed. I have not been back since and will never again.
I wrote to the brewery to ask them how they could let another great old country pub be destroyed, but they couldn't be bothered to reply.

I notice that they are doing a lot of cheapo theme evenings now including one that offered free jelly for kids.

Can't wait till it closes down.
