Sussex was on and it was very good on a unfeasibly sunny October saturday. The garden is very pleasant and service very good.... I like the Barley Mow.

Delighted my a recent visit, the two most prominent members of staff were excellent and complimented each other, the pork and red cabbage excellent as was the fish and chips . The normal selection of real ale, all good but 10 out of 10 to the staff for making a pleasant evening. Dog friendly, garden and placed well on footpaths in Godstone / Oxted border. A traditional country pub that is delivering .

Picking up on previous comment, bar food portions were fine a couple of Saturdays ago .. and the chips were lovely. Beer good as well and staff friendly. Not cheap but then one is in Surrey!

Visited on a Tuesday night. Very quiet only a couple of other diners.
Limited menu , not cheap.
Calamari starter was well cooked but miniscule, belly pork starter again well cooked but very small.
Fillet steak tasty but overcooked and absolutely tiny, Smoked salmon salad again good quality but very small portion.
All in all fairly good food, but appalling value for money. Left feeling very unsatisfied walletwise and still hungry.
