| Yes this is a very nice little boozer which I visited last Saturday lunch time Bright and nice and warm inside with four hand pumps seving two Joules ales. 2 for the Pale Ale and 2 for the Slumbering Monk. I tried them both and very nice they were two both selling for £2.50 a pint. Came back later and saw the first half of the Liverpool v Stoke game on. | the mere inn has been took over again its had a refurb and can get a decent pint from there now i went in to see the new management and they lovely proper friendly place its nice now back to the old mere now arsybitch05 - 7 Jan 2012 22:08 |

| Small, very very smoky. Roll on smoke free pubs - I want to die of alcohol poisoning not cancer from the smoke of others!! Good but not as good as the hype.
