Never really been a fan of this place! Best left alone in my opinion. realalerules1983 - 10 Jan 2011 21:37
Starting September 19th - INNER CITY BLUES - live music from The 8 Ball Blues Band, with Martin The Mod spinning blues and R&B vinyl. Plus Martin's jumpin' hot Jambalaya! All for FREE!!!!! 8 til late silverdog - 13 Sep 2010 20:11

I have been living in Manchester city centre for 10 years now and have been visiting the thirsty scholar regularly since moving here. This has to be my favourite pub by far! The live music mid week is excellent and showcases a whole range of acts, while the dj's on the weekend really get the place movin! The night time atmosphere is unrivalled!! They have a wide range of beers and spirits and the prices are not too bad. I highly recommend you try it. Also the large outdoor smoking area is a must! rollinhand - 26 Jan 2008 23:21
