Why!?

Lack of beer is poor. The place has more of a feel of a wine bar than proper pub. Maybe one for the ladies, but not for me.

Yep, another place serving great Pizzas is just what Bath needs:)
No-one is pretending the Beehive was a smart joint - but that is the point, there are millions of poncy joints in Bath but an ever decreasing number of your spit and sawdust places - no-one needs another crappy wine bar/theme pub do they?

I think most of you have rose-tinted spectacles about the Beehive! It was shut down after numerous drugs raids by the police... it was pretty scabby really! Shame about the cider but the likes of The Bell, The Green Tree and The Salamander still offer some good drinks in Bath. Grappa is owned by the people who own Firehouse Rotisserie and it serves their great pizzas.

The GP ' most unlikely conversion I have ever seen', couldn't agree more - we visited last night for the first time. A fine C18 Georgian building has been 'refurbished' with a host of cheap stained softwood beams and columns to give it a rustic feel. Utterly naff! Finished off with a cheap plywood bar.
They don't serve draught beer either, only lager.
