IF.... I had to go in there again I would have a bottle. The lines must come straight from the river. I used to be a frequent user, it was good then. What has happened???????????????????????????????????????

The Nook is by far the best pub in holmfirth to have a few pints with the lads! A ruff and ready place to have a good time.

Unfortunately a pub very much on the decline. The beer was, as always, excellent, but the pub itself has become very shabby and is in need of a lick of paint. There's a line between original decor and being grubby. The jukebox is overpowering ( and I say that as a fan of jukeboxes in pubs ) and the pool room seems to be the main focus of the pub and staff. This place is very much living of it's reputatio.

Just to say its a great pub, been going for years, tho not so much now as I no longer live in't valley. In response to the earlier comment, the bloke who ran it looked more like santa than a tramp and its now run by his daughter, who also has the bar restuaraunt next door. The Carniceria, which is worth checking out as the food is nice, but a little expensive
