I have lived in the village of Broadbridge Heath for 15 years now, so the only pub in the village has become my local. Licensee Richard Kent, manageress Lorraine Stewart and bar manager Andy Smith are always friendly and welcoming.

The pub is a popular place with tradesman who call in about five pm to whet their whistle. I find that you can get a carpenter, painter and decorator, builder, plumber, mechanic, vehicle body repairer and a man with a van whilst enjoying a pleasant pint.

Chef Shirley excels in the kitchen. Lots of homemade food and Monday to Thursday lunch times there is now a tempting two meals for the price of one offer. Good value, homemade food and good beer is a winning combination.

Still doing a choice of 3 roasts on a Sunday.

Nice pub visited for the first time on Saturday afternoon had an excellent pint of Hogs Back Ale and the landlord came over and moved the TV round so i could see it better. Didnt see the menu or what the food looked like but shall be making another visit soon to see!
