| Fan-blooming-tastic!!!!!!!1 Was in there last night, havent been there for years. Apparently a new couple just arrived. Spoke to Alan the landlord who said that they plan on being here for a few years, popular for rugby, football and pretty much any other occasion. Had food which has only just started, Hot and plentiful (go for one of the 15 burgers). The Tiger, Bishops tipple and cask cider were all bright tasty and hit the spot. My wife loved the Sunchaser, although its a little too light for me. Have booked a skittles night for my work next month. A bit cliche but, why dont they still make pubs like this? Great staff, great pub. My new local i think.. 5 star WBLEDGE - 21 Jul 2011 10:12 |
| Excellent Everadrs house run by a charming husband and wife team. The landlord knows his ales and keeps them very well, and the Everards range is complemented by a couple of guests. Family-friendly, the pub has a large courtyard to the rear with a grassy play area for the little ones. The patio area is beautifully planted out with tubs and baskets and the whole place has the feel of a country pub. Their (fairly) recent beer festival was excellent and well attended, with activities for children offered alongside the live music and food. On the subject of music, the pub is well established on the Leicester live music scene, and also runs comedy nights drawing some quality acts. All in all a cracking establishment. | Nice pub and you wouldn't know you were close to Leicester city centre. Beer in excellent condition, but only 1 "guest" on the day I visited. Steve45 - 9 Aug 2009 19:43 |
| This was taken over by a new landlord about 18 months ago and has been given a new lease of life. It's been smartened up without losing any character or changing the layout. Wood-panelled bar, cosy lounge, regularly changing guest beers and a friendly, enthusiastic landlord. A village pub in the city! ericonabike - 16 Mar 2008 11:13 |
