We didn't get to partake of the jukebox because the TV was on loud (a common problem on this trip to Wales) but the ornate exterior of the pub is pleasing and the pool table a welcome feature. Very quiet of a Tuesday evening but a decent enough stopver on an Aber crawl.

Great little pub with a good atmosphere.

Brilliant jukebox, two tvs usually showing different sports - but in a way that doesn't take away from the atmosphere.

The real ale is kept very well, however it can be a bit hit and miss whether it is on or not. However nine times out of ten you can be sure they'll have it on at the weekend.

Nice comfy seats and interiors - and probably the cleanest toilets in Aberystwyth!

No it isn't, and it's had an expensive, trendily clinical refit (which only extends as far as the toilet doors). Lost some atmosphere as result, especially as the top of the old Victorian-style bar has been ripped out (why?!?!)

Has one or two of the old bits left (like the Jukebox, dart board and lethal pole) and now serves real ale, for the first time in years.

In some ways better, in some ways worse. So about the same, but at least I can get a decent pint.

Have heard that this is going to be closed down and converted into flats! Is this true?!?

Local live music on a Friday this place is always buzzing. Friendly staff and a nice pint of Mild. Got a good jukebox and the potential for a game of darts. Little bit out of the way, one for the dedicated drinkers.
