One of the more bar like pubs in the area. The staff are friendly and they have a good selection of drinks including a cocktail list. It is a little pricey but not if you take into account the area. The spirit and mixers are the cheapest in the area, £2.60 a vodka and coke!! The food may seem on the pricey side too but I have recently learned that it is all fresh and not microwaved like most other large corporation pubs do. (I used to work in a pub kitchen many many years ago now.)So for that reason it's definately worth the extra bit. They also change the menu frequently which makes a nice change. I would highly reccomend the fish cakes they are so tasty. The staff are always pleasant and very friendly. It only took three visits before two members of staff remembered what I drank and asked me how I was doing. Thats one thing that I like in a pub. anonymous - 22 Sep 2006 16:23
Too loud, (far) too expensive and too much up its own arse. Beer (Staropramen) was watery and flat, cheeseburger was, frankly, a torrid affair, and the least said about the (excruciatingly slow) service the better. I know other people who like it, and I don't understand it. OK, compared to some of the other pubs round there it's not bad, but for goodness' sake don't take that as a recommendation. Not keen at all. Hzy - 16 Sep 2006 15:56
Bring back the Galaxy class Enterprise "D"! Or better still, replace it with a Sovereign class Enterprise "E" (but not an NX class Enterprise, which is based on the Akira class starship!). This place is horrific and was much better as Page's bar! Beer isn't that bad though! PigPen_in_the_Fens - 5 Sep 2006 13:04
Take care not to confuse this place with the far superior Westminster Arms. The Westminster is one of the most cold, hollow and soulless pubs I have encountered. As for “enough Real Ales to keep CAMRA devotees happy”, where are they? They have 1 pump for London Pride and they took so long to change the barrel that I ended up having a pint Carling. Coors, Staropromen and Strongbow were the other choices. The plain off white walls and ceiling are interrupted only by a barrage of plain red wall behind the bar, the well trodden dark wooden floorboards and the grey pillars and doors. The windows are crying out for some curtains and the décor consists of a few dated lampshades, a large plain mirror and the occasional potted plant. The tables must have come from a second hand dining table sale and the whole pub is visually vacant with no real feature to attract the eye. Meals are pricey (£5-6 for starters, sandwiches £6, main meals £7-8) and the menu is hardly extensive. People may laugh at the prior existence as a “Trekkie” pub but I imagine it would have had a bit more spirit and soul then than it does now. Beam me up! RogerB - 2 Aug 2006 15:34
Just back from a liquid lunch. I was expecting a cold welcome after earlier reviews, but the staff were friendly and the London Pride wasn't too bad. Couple of tables outside on the pavement in the sun which looked an option as there was no aircon inside - however, then went downstairs to get some food and it was all aircon cooled which you need when it's 30degrees C outside. Didn't eat, but food looked 'OK' - nothing gastronomic but fine if you needed something to line your stomach.. I'd go back HarryS - 28 Jul 2006 14:00
